Eagle Watch Saturday At Patoka Lake

Eagle4BIRDSEYE (NNDC) – The 28th annual Eagle Watch is scheduled Saturday at Patoka Lake. A resident bald eagle and other live raptors will be featured during the watch, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (EST). Patoka Lake Interpretive Naturalist Dana Reckelhoff will share the life and story of the birds of prey at the lake. Patoka Lake Wildlife Specialist Todd Eubank and his team will conduct Saturday’s driving tour to hot spots for eagle viewing.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Participants can also bring a snack lunch. Activities and crafts for children will be available from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is required with a $5 per person program fee. No charge for kids five years of age and younger. Participants are urged to dress for the weather and bring along cameras, binoculars, and spotting scopes and have their vehicles fueled for the driving tour.
