Braun served on the Greater Jasper Consolidated School Corporation board for 10 years before being elected to the state legislature in 2014.

“I am excited to help lead discussions on many of the critical issues facing our state this session. We will be tasked with finding ways to attract and retain great teachers in our classrooms, and working to develop a comprehensive, long-term strategy to maintain and improve Indiana’s transportation infrastructure.”

Braun will continue to serve on the Roads and Transportation and Ways and Means committees.

Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process.  During meetings, public testimony is given and details of proposed legislation are discussed before possibly being considered by all members of the House.
