Barbara H. Katterhenry, 68, Huntingburg

Barb Katterhenry Barbara H. Katterhenry, 68, of Huntingburg, died Wednesday (December 30) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, May 19, 1947, to Harold and Esther (Bareis) Foster. She married Roger Katterhenry August 20, 1977, at Zoar United Methodist Church in Holland.

Barbara was a 1965 graduate of Highland High School in Highland. She earned a B.S. degree in Education from Indiana University in 1973. She worked for SIRS for 36 years. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed spending time with her family, flowers, cooking, hummingbirds, and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roger Katterhenry; one daughter, Katie Katterhenry, Huntingburg; one son, Adam Katterhenry and fiancé Kelly Mehringer, Lafayette; one brother-in-law, Edgar Katterhenry and wife Loretta, Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Mary Schuetter and husband Randy, Jasper, and Arlene Wagner and husband Dennis, St. Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Esther Foster.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. (EST) Sunday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Zoar United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Zoar United Methodist Women, Zoar Cemetery Association, or to your favorite charity.
