Rose Mae Kline, 82, Ferdinand

KlineRose Mae Kline, 82, of Ferdinand, died Friday (December 11) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Ferdinand May 20, 1933, to Andrew and Caroline (Heeke) Boeglin. She married James Kline November 26, 1953, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Rose was a lifelong member of St. Ferdinand Parish. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, cooking, being with her family and friends, and praying the rosary.

She is survived by her husband, James Kline; three daughters, Linda Greulich and husband Mike, Lamar, Margie Jerger and husband Jeff, St. Henry, and Angie Rahman and husband Steve, Ferdinand; two sons, Kevin Kline and wife Sylvia “Sig” and Jeff Kline and wife Cindy, all of Ferdinand; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Esther Boeglin, Ferdinand.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick and Joseph in infancy, one grandson, Curt Greulich; six sisters, Frieda Olinger, Hedwig “Hattie” Boeglin, Ella Hedinger, Leona Lueken, Lucille Heilers, and Mary Etta Merkley; and three brothers, Alphonse, Ralph, and Ted Boeglin.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 7-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ferdinand Church Renew or to the EWIN Catholic Channel. Online condolences may be made at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry with burial following in St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery.
