Home Is Where The Heart Is Still For County’s Latest Hall Of Famer (VIDEO)

HOLLAND (NNDC) – Joe Todrank is Dubois County’s latest inductee into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.  Todrank becomes the 14th former basketball player from a local high school to be enshrined in the state’s hoops hall.  Todrank, who is retired and living in Las Vegas calls his hall of fame induction “a defining moment” in his basketball career (as a player and coach) that spanned more than 30 years and is deeply rooted in Dubois County…

The other 13 players from Dubois County are Cyril Birge, Paul Hoffman, Bob Hoffman, Tom Hoffman, Bob Sakel, Jerome “Dimp” Stenftenagel, and Bob White of Jasper, Allen Menke, Bill Menke, Bob Menke, Alan Nass of Huntingburg, Don Buse and Gene Tormohlen of Holland.

Three local coaches are in the hoops hall; Leo C. “Cabby” O’Neill, Woody Weir, Barney Scott and Ed Kershner all of Jasper Jasper. Scott would have his greatest success as a coach at Seymour High School while Kershner coached 30 years in Florida where is that state’s all-time winningest coach.
