“Light Up A Life” Tree Benefits Family Palliative Care

Light Up a Life1JASPER (From Releases) – Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s Family Palliative Care is offering everyone an opportunity to Light Up A Life and decorate a community Christmas tree with special ornaments in memory/honor/celebration of loved ones.

The Christmas tree will be on display at Hometown IGA at The Crossing until New Year’s Day. For a $5 donation, a dove ornament will be inscribed “in honor,” “in memory,” or “in celebration” of a friend, relative, or loved one – anyone whom the donor wishes to have honored or remembered. Donation forms are available at the customer service desk at Hometown IGA at the Crossing and at the information desk at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

All proceeds benefit Family Palliative Care, a free service of Memorial Hospital dedicated to providing care for the chronically ill and making life as meaningful as possible for both the patient and his or her family. A physician-directed health care team provides comfort and relief as a companion to curative care, offering options to patients and their families, improving quality of life, and respecting choices.
