Jasper police say 62-year old Shirley Wininger of rural Dubois was found punching and scratching a passenger inside a parked car in the 900 block of Bartley Street at about 6:45PM.

JPD says Wininger was found leaning across the driver’s seat of the parked car during the altercation.  Her ex-husband was in the driver’s seat.  JPD says the passenger was a female in the car with Wininger’s ex-husband.

The ex-husband told JPD that Wininger followed him from Bretzville to Jasper.  He says Wininger continued to follow his vehicle in “an aggressive manner” after he picked up the female.

JPD says the ex-husband pulled his vehicle to the side of the road on Bartley Street in order to talk with Wininger; that’s when he says Wininger began to attack the female passenger in his car.

Police say the woman had scratches on her arms, upper chest, and forehead area.  Police say she was also bleeding from her right hand, but she refused medical aid at the scene.
