County Man Arrested For Dealing Meth; Illegal Possession Of Firearm




IRELAND (NNDC) – A Dubois County man has been arrested after county deputies went to the home of his fiancé on what is called a “home search of a home-detention participant.

Late Monday morning, Dubois County deputies went to the Ireland home of Tiffany Flynn to conduct the home “search.”

While there, deputies discovered a 12-gauge shotgun, a syringe, four small individually package baggies of a white powdery substance all belonging to Flynn’s finace 33-year old Gerald Bates, Jr.

DCSD says deputies also found in Bates’ possession four different types of prescription pills of which he did not have a prescription for.

Bates is charged with a Level 3 felony count of Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine while in possession  of a firearm, a Level 6 felony count of Maintaining a Common Nuisance and four Class A misdemeanor counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Bates is being held in the Dubois County Security Center on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
