Two Arrested On Local Drug-Related Charges

Northweed AdJASPER (NNDC) – Two Jasper men were arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly having drug paraphernalia and precursors in the mens bathroom at the Jasper Home Depot store.

Jasper police were called to the store in the 4200 block of Newton Street about 1:25PM Sunday after receiving a call about possible suspicious activity by two men in the Home Depot restroom.

JPD officers were told that one of the suspects, 24-year old Jordan Cochran had left the bathroom, but the second suspect, 28-year old Troy Denton was still inside.

JPD says Denton resisted an officer momentarily when the officer entered the bathroom, but he was taken into custody.  Meanwhile, Cochran was located a short time later and also taken into custody.

JPD says both men are charged are charged with Possession of Hyperdermic Syringe, as well as Possession of  Precursors and Possession of Paraphernalia.

JPD says Denton is also charged with Resisting Law Enforcement and Obstruction of Justice.
