Marilyn E. Brahm, 66, Ferdinand

Marilyn BrahmMarilyn E. Brahm, 66, of Ferdinand, died Friday (October 16) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.She was born in Ferdinand December 5, 1948, to August and Hilda (Schaeffer) Luebbehusen. She married Loren A. Brahm April 26, 1969, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Marilyn was a lifelong member of St. Ferdinand Parish and a member of the Ferdinand Community Center.

She is survived by her husband, Loren Brahm; two sons, Alex and Josh Brahm, Ferdinand; two daughters, Kim Payne and husband John, Evansville, and Dana Brahm, Ferdinand; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, Ernie Luebbehusen and wife Helen, and Dennis “Schlum” Luebbehusen and wife Rose, all of Ferdinand, and David Luebbehusen and wife Bonnie and Eugene Luebbehusen, all of Jasper; six sisters, Cyrilla Senninger and husband Ralph, Celestine, Carol Heeke and husband Bert, and JoAnn Frick and companion Raymond Buechlein, all of Ferdinand, Eileen Hauser and husband Steve, Schnellville, Janice Luebbehusen, Jasper, and Diane Begle and husband Ralph, Huntingburg; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Luebbehusen, Ferdinand, and Sue Luebbehusen, Jasper.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Roman Luebbehusen.

Friends may call from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Henry Church. Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ferdinand Renew Project or to the St. Ferdinand funeral lunch program. Online condolences may be made at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Henry Church with burial following in St. Ferdinand Church cemetery.
