Tip Leads Troopers to Arrest Jasper Man on Drug Charges



JASPER (Indiana State Police) – A Jasper man was arrested Wednesday after ISP troopers followed up on information
they received about possible illegal drug activity.

Shortly before 1:00PM, Trooper Brock Werne and Master Trooper Brian Laroche met with 24-year old Travis Jones at this home in the 700 block of East 15th Street in Jasper.

The ISP-Jasper Post says troopers received information earlier in the morning that there was possible drug use occurring at the residence.
ISP says after talking with Jones, Werne and Laroche searched the backyard are of the home where they found a hypodermic needle and other drug paraphernalia.

Jones was placed into custody and lodged, without incident, in the Dubois County Security Center.

He is charged with a Level 6 felony counts of Illegal Possession of a Hypodermic Needle and Maintaining a Common Nuisance along with a Class A misdemeanor count of Possession of Paraphernalia.
