Kay A. McCraney, 64, Jasper

McCraneyKay A. McCraney, 64, of Jasper, died Sunday (October 4) at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Huntingburg February 2, 1951, to Russell and Mary Lou (Peckinpaugh) McCraney.

Kay was a U.S. Navy veteran. She retired as a secretary and worked for the state of Colorado for many years. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Jasper and loved frogs and frog collecting and spending time with her dog, Jack Daniel.

She is survived by her companion, Tom Fluckey, Jasper; one daughter, Shanna Query and husband Kyle, Petersburg; one son, Shane Vonderheide, Nampa, Idaho; six grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; three sisters, Angela Morgan and husband Kenny, Hunt6ingburg, Pia Wyland and husband, Steve, Winslow, and Jalain Sutt and husband, Everett, Petersburg; three brothers, Mark McCraney and wife Sharon, Celestine, and Paul McCraney and wife, Denise, and James McCraney and wife Carolyn, all of Long Island, New York; and a number of nieces and nephews.
