Kenneth T. “Kenny” Hoffman, 69, Jasper

Kenneth HoffmanKenneth T. “Kenny” Hoffman, 69, of Jasper, died Wednesday (September 30) at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Kenny was born in Washington, Indiana August 19, 1946, to Jerome and Antoinette (Muller) Hoffman. He married Charlotte Vollmer September 30, 1967, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

A 17 year heart transplant survivor, Kenny was president/owner of Jasper Container Company, his family operated business. He was an Indiana Army National Guard veteran and a member of Jasper American Legion Post No. 147. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Jasper Outdoor Recreation, and a lifetime member of the Jasper Moose. He played baseball for the Jasper Reds and softball for the B&G Men’s League. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing sheepshead, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hoffman; three daughters, Kimberly Hopf and husband Todd, Ireland, and Julie Ahlbrand and husband Brad, and Shelley Uebelhor and husband Tony, all of Jasper; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Annette Murry and husband Mike, Jasper; one brother, Terry Hoffman, Jasper; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Becher Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The Jasper Moose will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Church, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, or the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be made at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at Precious Blood Church with burialial following in Fairview Cemetery. American Legion Post No.147 will conduct military graveside rites.
