Jasper Man Arrested In Evansville; Charged With Felony Burglary Here



JASPER (NNDC) – Jasper police say 29-year Byron Moton now faces formal charged of burglary and theft in connection with a break-in back in August at the maintenance building at the Jasper Youth Sports Complex.

JPD says Moton was taken into custody Wednesday in Evansville after a traffic stop there.  During the stop, Evansville police learned of warrants against Moton for the August 31st break-in.  He will be returned to Dubois County today (Thursday).

Jasper police say during their investigation, they found Moton in possession of property that was taken during the break-in along with testimonial evidence.

Moton faces a Level 5 felony count of Burglary and a Class A misdemeanor count of Theft.
