Public Voting Machine Test Friday at Courthouse

vote 2JASPER (NNDC) – A public test of the Microvote Infinity voting machines is scheduled Friday in the public access from of the Dubois County Clerk’s office in the county courthouse. The test begins at 8 o’clock Friday morning.

The required test will be conducted by members of the Dubois County election board. County Clerk Bridgette N. Jarboe says, “We will be physically testing at least three of the random machines to ensure that every candidate receives votes correctly. There will also be sample absentee ballot cards counted to make sure that every candidate on the ballot receives votes.” The test will also verify that the votes are counted correctly.

The public, candidates, political party representatives, and members of the media are welcome to observe the test.
