Women Empowering Women Leadership Group To Gather October 14th

Women Empowering womenJASPER (Local Sources) – The newly formed Dubois County women’s leadership organization, Women Empowering Women (WEW) will hold a membership meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at St. Joseph Church Parish Center, 1029 Kundek Street in Jasper, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. This event is open to all current WEW members. Members may bring a guest to learn about this women’s leadership group and how to become a member. However, seating is limited and advanced reservations are required to attend.

Reservations should be made by October 7th by calling the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 812-482-6866 or by emailing chamber@jasperin.org .  The cost for lunch is $5.00 per person and is payable at the door. Those unable to attend after having made a reservation will be charged the $5.00 per person fee if cancellation is not received by Monday, October 12th.

The featured program is entitled Women’s Health and Wellness. The featured speakers are Shellie Kyle, Assistant General Counsel at Kimball International, Inc. who will share her health and wellness journey as a breast cancer survivor, and Stephanie Allen, Women’s Center supervisor for Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

The WEW organization meets six times a year. The final program on the 2015 meeting series is the group’s annual celebration on December 2nd with an interactive session on motivational styles.

The mission of Women Empowering Women is to inspire women in business to reach their highest potential by instilling confidence, building networks, and promoting community in Dubois County. Membership is open to any woman in business who lives or works in Dubois County. Membership forms are available at the Jasper Chamber of Commerce or at the event.
