Caucus Names Larry Jones To Harbison Township Advisory Board

DUBOIS (NNDC) – 71-year old Larry Jones of Jasper has been selected to fill the vacancy in the Harbison Township Advisory Board created by the resignation of Lorie L. Hubbs.

A caucus of Republican precinct committee members was held Tuesday evening at the Haysville Fire Station.

Dubois County GOP chairman Don Hayes say Mrs. Hubbs plans to move out of the township and her resignation is effective September 30, 2015.

Larry Jones has been married to Joetta for 48 years. They have five grown children and ten grandchildren. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Management from the University of Evansville. Jones had 33 years experience in healthcare including 19 years as
the Director of Finance and Chief Operating Officer at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center. He has 36 years experience as a successful small business owner.

Jones’ civic involvement includes membership in the Jasper Jaycees and Kiwanis; volunteering with Tri-Cap RSVP and the Dubois County Community Corrections Work Release Program; serving as President of the Dubois County Welfare Board; volunteering for youth sports including Little League; and, serving as a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. His political experience includes being a Member of Hoosiers for a ConservativeSenate and the FreedomMakers of Dubois County.

Jones will complete Hubbs’ current term of office which runs until December 31, 2018.
