Rose Ann Wilson, 74, St. Anthony

Rose WilsonRose Ann Wilson, 74, of St. Anthony, died Thursday (September 17) at Brookside Village in Jasper. She was born in Jasper October 8, 1940, to Herbert and Ardella
(Stenftenagel) Hopf. She married William J. Wilson July 8, 1967, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland. He died March 2, 2006.

Rose was a graduate of Ireland High School and was valedictorian of her class. She retired from Smitty Farm Equipment store in Jasper where she was employed for 35 years. And also worked at Shoe Show and Goodies in Jasper. She is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, family, and friends. Her hobbies, were country music, sewing, and her flower garden.

She is survived by three sons, Mark and Steve Wilson, both of Huntingburg, and Jason Wilson and wife Teresa, Blacksburg, Virginia; four grandchildren, William, Riley, Noah and Liam; three sisters, Betty Edwards and husband Richard, Ireland, Sylvia Fleck and Husband Gilbert, Ferdinand, and Marilyn Burris and husband Jerry, Jasper; and three brothers, William Hopf and wife Darlene, and Gary Hopf and wife Kathy, all of Jasper, and Ralph Hopf and wife Carol, Ireland.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rose Ann Wilson.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Mondy at St. Anthony Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Church, Lange Fuhs Cancer Center, or to a favorite charity. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
