Jasper Soccer Girls Win Over Heritage Hills; Jeeps Boys Tennis Remain Undefeated (SCOREBOARD)

GIRLS SOCCER

Jasper 3  Heritage Hills 1

At Jasper, the Lady Wildcats come away with a hard fought 3-1 victory.   The teams battled to a scoreless tie at halftime.  Eight minutes into the second half, Heritage Hills was awarded a penalty kick and Dria Oxley hit a low corner shot to put the visitors up 1-0.

Jasper responded less than a minute later when Samantha Kabrick bended a high corner kick over the goalkeeper’s arms into the upper far post to tie the score 1-1.

Jasper grabbed the lead for good at the 20-minute mark left in the match, Chloe Smith crossed the ball to forward Reagan Otto who took a quick touch and fired a shot past the keeper for a 2-1 lead.

Then with 16 minutes left in the match, Madisyn Hunt found the net on a 25 yard shot off a pass from Samantha Kabrick.

Jasper moves to 10 wins, 1 loss, and 2 ties on the season.  Jasper finishes off Big 8 play with a match at Vincennes on Thursday, and hosts rival Washington next Tuesday on Senior night.

Jasper 8 Mt. Carmel 0

At Mt. Carmel, the Wildcats improve to 5-0 in Big 8 Conference play after Tuesday’s win at Mt. Carmel. Jasper has now outscored its opponents 45-0 in conference play.

Jasper will conclude conference play at Washington a week from Thurday (September 24). The Wildcats play their final home match of the seaosn this Thursday hosting Forest Park.

Northeast Dubois 4  Forest Park 1

At Dubois, the Jeeps celebrate senior night with a 4-1 win over county rival and previously unbeaten Forest Park. The Jeeps, who entered the match undefeated as well, improve to 13-0 with the win.
