Vincent E. “Vinny” Friedman, 53, Haysville

VinnyVincent E. “Vinny” Friedman, 53, of Haysville, died Friday (September 11) at his home. He was born in Jasper December 10, 1961, to Patrick and Rosemary (Klueh) Friedman. He married Diana Raney October 18, 2014.

Vinny was a 1980 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School. He retired retired from the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, where he was a sheriff’s deputy for 18 years. He worked at Meyers Truck Equipment for eight years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, especially ginseng. Also turtle, deer, turkey, coyote, and mushrooms.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Friendman; one son, Kyle Friedman, Jasper; one daughter, Kiona Friedman, Jasper; one step-daughter, Whitney Jellison and husband Craig, Jasper; his mother, Rosemary Friedman, Jasper; two sisters, Jane Wagner and husband Mike, Jasper, and Leah Knight, Noblesville; three brothers, Patrick “Rocky” Friedman, Dubois, Scott Friedman and wife, Nancy, Celestine, and Brett Friedman and wife, Mary, Otwell; several nieces and nephews; and one great niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Friedman.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m.Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
