Lois A. Boggs, 76, Jasper

Lois BoggsLois A. Boggs, 76, of Jasper, died Sunday (September 6) at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Jasper July 25, 1939, to Herman and Elenora (Mehringer) Rasche. She married Jack Boggs September 3, 1961, in St. Louis. He died November 12, 2004.

Lois was a 1957 graduate of Jasper High School and a graduate of St. Louis University with a degree in physical therapy. She worked as a physical therapist for many years and enjoyed watching professional football and reading.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie Vandiver and husband George, Chino Valley, Arizona; two granddaughters, Ashley Frett and husband Casey, Madison, Wisconsin, and Alyssa Vandiver, Chino Valley, Arizona; and three sisters, Viola Wagner and husband Joseph, and Pearl Spayd and husband Ralph, all of Jasper, and Diane Henke and husband Denny, Winslow.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Ambrose Rasche, and two sisters, Rita Durcholz and Alberta Weyer.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Septembere 19, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper with burial following at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Church, Holy Family Church or to a favorite charity. Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper in charge of arrangements.
