Jasper Man Arrested For Intimidation; Invasion of Privacy (BLOTTER)

JASPER (NNDC) – A 34-year old Jasper man is in police custody after he was arrested early Saturday morning charges of Intimidation (Level 6 felony) and Invasion of Privacy (Class A Misdemeanor).

Phil Neukam was arrested at his home shortly before 3:00AM.

JPD says they were contacted by the victim in this matter who told police Neukam was contacting said-victim in violation of a no-contact order from a previous pending case between the two.

JPD says the victim also told officers Mr. Neukam has threatened victim multiple times regarding the previous pending case; requesting victim drop the charges.

Police say this contact does violate the no-contact order as well; in addition to committing the offense of Intimidation.

Mr. Neukam was detained and questioned, admitting to contacting victim. He was then transported to the Dubois County Security Center without incident.

Jasper Man Arrested Following Two Leaving The Scene Accidents

JASPER (NNDC) – A Jasper man has been arrested following a short series of property damage accidents Friday night.

JPD says shortly before 10:30PM officers were called to a home in the 500 block of East 15th. Police say a parked car on the street in front of the home was struck by another vehicle that left the scene.

Then a short time later, police were called to another accident where a vehicle struck a street sign at 14th and Jackson and also left the scene.

JPD officers soon located an abandoned vehicle in the middle of the street in the 600 block of East 14th.

Police say their investigation determined that 24-year old Logan Williams of Jasper was driving the vehicle involved in both leaving the scene accidents.

Police also determined that Williams was operating the vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. He was taken to Memorial Hospital for a blood draw to confirm before he was taken to the Dubois County Security Center.

He is charged with Operating While Intoxcation-Controlled Substance, Possession of a Synthetic Drug and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
