Jasper Soccer Girls Win 3rd Game In 4 Nights; Tennis Jeeps Stay Unbeaten (SCOREBOARD)


Jasper 6 Princeton 1

At Princeton, The Lady Wildcats Thursday night finished a busy week winning their their third game in four nights.

Six minutes into the match, Mallory Ahlbrand took a corner kick that found Olivia Ruckriegel open in the goalie box for Jasper’s first goal.

Three minutes later, Anna Charron played a nice ball just beyond the Princeton defense to Madisyn Hunt for Jasper’s second goal. Hunt scored again to make it 3-0 at halftime.

Jasper continued to control the match in the second half with goals from Brittany Haskins, Samantha Kabrick and Hannah Love, with assists coming from Hunt, Love, and Charron.

Jasper moves to a program best 5-0 start on the season and 2-0 in Big 8 play.

Northeast Dubois 1  Washington Catholic 1

At Dubois, the Lady Jeeps and Blue Chip Conference rival Washington Catholic play to a 1-1 tie.   The Lady Cardinals scored first with five minutes remaining in the first half.

The Lady Jeeps answered halfway through the second half with a goal from Sophomore Lianna Shepard with an assist from junior Aubrey Marks.

Northeast Dubois now 0-3-1 overall; 0-2-1 in the conference.


Boonville 3 Southridge 0

At Huntingburg, the Lady Raiders fell behind early as Boonville cruised to a three-game win (9-25, 20-25, 23-25).

Senior Kayla Voegerl led Southridge with six kills; fellow senior Kassidy Mundy added five.

Grace Kappner led the Lady Raiders with seven assists; Boo Polley had 16 digs.

North Knox 3 Northeast Dubois 1

At Dubois, visiting North Knox took control of the match in game three enroute to a four-game Blue Chip Conference win (16-25, 25-22, 12-25, 15-25).

Sophomore Adison Denu led the Lady Jeeps with eight kills in the match; senior Liz Huebner added five.

Denu also had 13 digs as did senior Rachel Meyer. Soph Kyndal Green added 10.


Northeast Dubois 5 Wood Memorial 0

At Oakland City, the Jeeps cruise to their sixth win in six starts in 2015. Northeast Dubois did not lose a game against the host Trojans as they improve to 3-0 in the Blue Chip Conference.

At Rockport’s Rustic Golf Course, the Lady Rangers drop a Pocket Athletic Conference dual match with host South Spencer.
