Anna Lee Haug, 83, Ferdinand

AnnaAnna Lee Haug, 83, of Ferdinand, died Tuesday (August 25) at Brookside Village Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born in Ferdinand December 16, 1931, to Leo C. and Josephine H. (Loew) Jasper. She married Clarence E. Haug October 3, 1953, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. He died August 16, 1998.

Anna Lee was a member of St. Ferdinand parish, the Ferdinand American Legion Post No. 124 Auxillary, and was a former Dubois County 4-H leader. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, reading, canning, baking, farm life, and being with family and friends.

She is survived by four sons, Mark Haug, Steve Haug and wife Shirley, Joe Haug and wife Karen, and Albert Haug and wife Tammy, all of Ferdinand; three daughters, Cathy Beier and husband Eugene, Diane Lechner and husband Steve, and Ruth Hoffman and husband Keith all of Ferdinand; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Kenneth Jasper, Rapid City, South Dakota, Henry Jasper, St. Anthony, Albert Jasper, Portland, Oregon, and Robert “Bob” Jasper, Tell City; and five sisters, Rita Kunkler, St. Meinrad, Marlene Kunkler and husband Jerome, St. Marks, Teresa Jasper, Jasper, Alberta Lehman, Bloomington, and Phyllis Perkins, Owasso, Oklahoma.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Edward Jasper, and two sisters, Mary Jo Niehaus-Thomas and Margaret Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 7-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ferdinand Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
