Ferdinand To Host Comprehensive Plan Public Meeting

Ferdinand-175thFERDINAND (Local Sources) – In 2007, the Town of Ferdinand updated and adopted a Comprehensive Plan. Town manager Chris James says this plan looked out over 10 years and addressed ideas for the Town to move towards as we grow our community.

On Thursday, August 27, 2015, a meeting is being hosted by the Town Council to get the Community of Ferdinand’s input into the future of our Town.

James says during the past two months meetings have been held with some of our high school youth, members of the business community, and members of the volunteer groups in town. It is now time for the rest of the community to give their input.

Kathy Kleindorfer, a facilitator from Evansville, Indiana, will lead us in our quest to find where we feel the town should be in the next 10 years. Ken Sicard will first lead us through what the Town has accomplished in the past 7 years since the last version of the Comprehensive Plan was adopted. Then, the rest of the meeting will be gathering the thoughts of the community.

This meeting is being held at the Community Center On August 27th. We will start promptly at 6:30 PM and will adjourn at 8:00 PM. Pretzels, chips and soft drinks will be available.
