William J. “Bill” Fleck, 58, Crown Point

Bill FleckWilliam J. “Bill” Fleck, 58, of Crown Point, died Thursday (August 20) at his home. He was born in Jasper June 8, 1957, to Robert and Dorothy (Lechner) Fleck. He married Irina Ivanova October 19, 2005, in Indianapolis.

Bill was a fraud examiner and worked for Forfeiture Support Associates under the  direction of the U.S. Marshall’s Office. He was a certified public accountant with CFE and CIA endorsements. He was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in St. John. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, high school musicals, singing, music, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Irina Ivanova, Indianapolis; one step-son, Denis Ivanov, Indianapolis; his father, Robert F. Fleck, Jasper; two sisters, Mary Beth Gibson and husband Glaze, Seymour, and Anne Therese Poling and husband George, Versailles; two brothers, Terry Fleck and wife Sylvia, Indianapolis, and Randy Fleck and wife Sharon, St. Anthony; seven nieces; four nephews; four-great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Fleck.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Church, the Sisters of  Providence, or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Precious Blood Church with burial following at a later date in Fairview Cemetery.
