JASPER (Local Sources) – National Office Furniture, a unit of Kimball International, Inc., celebrated its new Corporate Headquarters by inviting the public to an Open House and ribbon cutting ceremony this past Saturday.

Visitors were greeted in the Welcome Pavilion and encouraged to explore the space to truly understand why National is known as “Furniture with Personality”. As guests toured the Headquarters, they were treated to innovative furniture, progressive work environments, and whimsical artwork. This combination creates a hub of happy employees that are able to work in environments that are comfortable, collaborative, and productive, while showcasing National’s personality and eclectic style.

“We are excited to unveil our new Headquarters and are proud to be in a space that truly reflects our people, our products, and our personality,” said Kevin McCoy, National’s President. “You’ll see a different way to work.”

The Jasper Chamber of Commerce, City Council Members, and Jasper Mayor Terry Seitz conducted the ribbon cutting and shared that revitalizing buildings and having corporate headquarters housed in Jasper is crucial to the city’s growth. “It was really amazing, to me, to see, and I can’t imagine anything that has occurred like this in our area,” said Mayor Terry Seitz. “It will certainly put National in the forefront for your customers.”

The 50,000 square foot facility is located at 1610 Royal Street in Jasper, IN, and houses approximately 150 corporate employees. National has enjoyed steady growth throughout the past 35 years and is proud to have a space that reflects the forward movement of activity based space planning. National teamed up with the world renowned Gensler design firm to design, renovate, and outfit the new Headquarters.

“The design of this space is more and more what companies are doing when they are setting up their office facilities,” said Bob Schneider, Kimball International Chairman and CEO.

With areas dedicated to collaborate, learn, interact, and focus, the new Headquarters represents how customers and end users are using National’s furniture in their workspaces. The facility will also be used as a working showroom to display product capabilities and promote idea generation to the tours and guests that visit. National’s facility demonstrates how products can be used in private offices, open spaces, lounge spots, and collaboration areas. By showing employees using and thriving in those spaces, National’s new Headquarters is a true testament to today’s working environments.
