Rev. Raymond Williams Andrews, 85, Santa Claus

RevRev. Raymond William Andrews, 85 of Santa Claus, died Thursday (July 30) at his home. He was born in London, Ohio, October 30, 1929, to Raymond William and
Josephine (Weaver) Andrews. He married Sally Pease July 27, 1957, in Elkhart.

Pastor Andrews was ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Lutheran
Church in 1955. He retired as the pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville Indiana in 1995, where he served since 1980.

He recently celebrated his 60th anniversary of ordination into the Lutheran Church and his 58th wedding anniversary with Sally. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Haysville Ruritan, and served in various civic organizations through the years. He enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

He survived by his wife, Sally Andrews; two daughters, three sons, including Eric Andrews of Haysville, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two sisters.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, David Andrews, and one granddaughter, Payton May Andrews.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Church.
