JASPER (NNDC) – Another sentencing relating to an “Operation Big Brother” arrest took place Wednesday in Dubois County Superior Court.

Dubois County Deputy Prosecutor Beth Sermersheim says back on July 2nd, 42-year old Joseph Christmon of Birdseye pled guilty to Dealing in Cocaine, a Class B felony, pursuant to a plea agreement he entered into with the prosecutor’s office.

Wednesday, Christmon was sentenced to 16 years executed at the Indiana Department of Correction.

The plea agreement also required Christmon to pay $240.00 in restitution to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Community Strike Fund.

Three Operation Big Brother cases remain outstanding at this time. In total, 13 Operation Big Brother cases have been resolved. Thus far, the sentences imposed in these cases total 129 years, with 105 years of jail time.
