FERDINAND (Local Sources) – Bloodshot Records recording artist Bobby Bare, Jr., will perform in the banquet room of the Ferdinand American Legion on Main Street on Saturday, August 29th with all net proceeds benefiting the sixth annual Ferdinand Folk Festival.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. (ET). Tickets for the performance will be $10 and available at the door.

Bare, Jr., the son of Country Music Hall of Fame member and music icon Bobby Bare, has a Grammy nomination to his credit and a long string of critically-acclaimed albums with his band the Young Criminals’ Starvation League. In the 90s, he fronted the critically-acclaimed (Rolling Stone magazine hailed them as members of their “Hot List”) southern rock band Bare Jr.

His music career started when he was eight years old at his dad’s side, but, as a grownup, he’s carved out a respectable niche with music that falls somewhere between hard rock, roots rock, indie rock, and alt-country.
