JASPER (NNDC) – A traffic stop made by Jasper police after running a license check on a vehicle has resulted in the arrest of two Evansville men for drug possession.

JPD officers pulled over the car at the intersection of North Kluemper Road and Gregory Street on the city’s far westside at about 11:30 Friday morning.

JPD officers with the help of the department’s K-9 Ares located illegal drugs in the car.

Arrested were the driver, 49-year old Willie Freeman, and 43-year old Stanley Bedsole.

JPD says Freeman is charged with Possession of Methamphetimine, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of A Legend Drug.

Bedsole is charged with Possession of Paraphernalia.
