Youth Football Symposium Addresses Benefits; Fears Of Kids Playing The Game (VIDEO)

HUNTINGBURG (NNDC) – Kids love to play sports, and football is the most popular sport in America.  However, recently the game has come under fire regarding the possible long-term consequences of concussions.  Football is third only to ice hockey and soccer in regards to the percentage of players suffering concussions in grades three through 12.

All this attention has prompted the game at all levels to improve equipment and better prepare coaches, including youth coaches, in identifying and treating concussions.
