Jasper Woman Arrested For Felony Residential Entry; Had To Be Tased By Police



JASPER (NNDC) – A 52-year old Jasper woman was arrested Thursday afternoon for illegally entering her brother’s home, and then failing to leave when told to.

Jasper police say Susan Compton was combative and fought with officers. Police used a taser to get her to comply. It was the second time, police were called to the home in two days.

Police say Compton was asked to leave her brother’s home at 349 West 6th Street Wednesday night. JPD says she was argumentative and belligerent the first time as well, but she agreed to leave.

She returned to the house Thursday afternoon. Police were called at about 4:30pm. She was taken into custody after being tased. Police are not releasing details about what the confrontations with her brother were about.

She was taken to Memorial Hospital where she was medically cleared to be transported to the Dubois County Security Center.

She’s charged with a Level 6 felony count of Residential Entry and Class A misdemeanor counts of Criminal Trespass and Resisting Law Enforcment.
