2015 Miss & Miss Teen Dubois County 4-H Queen Contests Are This Sunday

BRETZVILLE (Local Sources) – The 2015 Miss & Teen Miss Dubois County 4-H Queen contests are this Sunday. They begin at 3pm at the Jasper High School Gymnasium. The contests are sponsored by the Dubois County 4-H Council.

The new Miss Dubois County 4-H & Miss Teen Dubois County 4-H will reign over the 2015 Dubois County 4-H Fair. This year’s fair takes place July 14-18 at the fairgrounds near Bretzville.

In addition to reigning over this years 4-H Fair, the new Miss Dubois County 4-H will also represent Dubois County in a number of events throughout the next year including the Indiana State Fair Queen Pageant in August, competing against some 80 other women from across the state.

Marissa Weisman of Ireland is the current reigning 2014 Miss Dubois County 4-H Queen.

Admission for the contest is $5. Admission is free 4H members and club leaders with membership cards. Graduating senior and achievement awards will also be presented.

Nicole Eppel is the 17 year old daughter of John and Sharon Epple of Saint Anthony.  She is sponsored by her father John. Nicole will be a 2016 graduate from Forest Park Junior/Senior High School.  After high school Nicole plans to attend Black Hawk College to study automotive and diesel technologies.

Moriah Fleck is the 18-year-old daughter of Dean and Gerry Fleck of St. Anthony. She is sponsored by Fleck Construction. Moriah is a 2015 graduate of Forest Park. She plans to attend the USI in the fall to major in occupational therapy.

Adria Giesler is the 19-year-old daughter of Paul and Jamie Giesler of Ferdinand. She is sponsored by Southern Indiana Supply. Adria was a 2014 graduate of Forest Park High School. She is currently studying Agribusiness Management at Purdue University.

Emily Gutgsell is the 19-year-old daughter of Brad and Melinda Gutgsell of Schnellville. She is sponsored by the Schnellville Volunteer Fire Department, Schnellville Home Ec Club, Schnellville Community Club, and Schnellville Conservation Club. She was a 2014 graduate of Forest Park High School and currently attends Vincennes University Jasper Campus where she will begin the RN program this coming fall.

Jessica Hilsmeyer is the 17-year-old daughter of Karen and Terry Hilsmeyer of Huntingburg. She is sponsored by her parents and the St. Henry Saints 4-H club. She will be a senior at Southridge High School in the Fall. She plans to attend college in the future to pursue a degree to become an Emergency Room nurse.

Jade Hoffman is the 18-year-old daughter of David and Susan Hoffman of Celestine. She is a 2015 Beta and Academic Honors graduate from Northeast Dubois High School. She is sponsored by Dubois County Farm Bureau, Leaders of Tomorrow, and the Dubois County Junior Leaders. She plans to study marketing at Western Kentucky University in the fall.

Rachel Hoffman is the 20-year-old daughter of David and Sue Hoffman of Celestine. She is sponsored by David Sue JRJ Boer Goat Farm. Rachel is currently a senior at Western Kentucky University. She will graduate with a degree in Agriculture and a concentration in animal science along with a certificate in Food Processing & Technology.

Taylor Hopf is the 18-year-old daughter of Keith and Sue Hopf of Kyana. She is sponsored by Dubois County Farm Bureau, Schnellville HomeEc Club, Schnellville Fire Department, and the Schnellville Community Club. She is a 2015 academic honors graduate of Forest Park High School. Taylor will attend Purdue University this fall to major in pharmacy.

Chloe Johnson is the 18-year-old daughter of Charles and Melinda Johnson. She is sponsored by Animal Medical Center and Holy Family Young Hopefuls. She is a 2015 academic honors graduate of Northeast Dubois High School. Chloe is planning on attending IUPUI in the fall and majoring in biology with hopes of becoming a physician’s assistant.

Kaitlyn Leistner is the 18-year-old daughter of Gail Leistner and Donnie Brown. Kaitlyn is from Jasper and is a 2015 academic and technical honors graduate of Jasper High School. She is sponsored by Romy & Clare’s and the Millennium 4-H Club. Kaitlyn plans to attend Vincennes University Jasper Campus to study nursing.

Sara Mehringer is the 18-year-old daughter of Larry and Tammy Mehringer of Dubois. She is sponsored by Happy Go Lucky 4-H Club and Sanders Processing. Sara is a 2015 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School. She will be attending Vincennes University in the fall for agribusiness.

Melissa Mutchman is the 17-year-old daughter of Tom and Nancy Mutchman of Huntingburg. She is sponsored by Happy Place Rabbitry. Melissa will be a Senior this fall at Forest Park High School.

Sarah Reckelhoff is the 19-year-old daughter of Sue and Leon Reckelhoff of Jasper. She is sponsored by Holy Family Young Hopefuls. Sarah is a Jasper High School graduate of 2015. She will be attending Sullivan University in the fall for baking and pastry arts.

Korey Verkamp is the 18-year-old daughter of Darrell and Lisa Verkamp of Celestine. She is sponsored by the Juniors Leaders and the Leaders of Tomorrow 4-H clubs and Joyce Mehringer at Mere Reflections. Korey is a 2015 Acadmic Honors graduate of Northeast Dubois High School. She will be attending Vincennes University in the fall to study business.

Katelyn Englert is the 14 year old daughter of Jeff and Pam Englert of Birdseye. She is sponsored by Bob Luegers Motors and Dave Smith Construction. Katelyn will be a freshmen at Forest Park Junior/Senior High School in the fall. After high school, Katelyn plans to attend college a become a pediatric oncologist.

Jaylyn Giesler is the proud 14 year old daughter of Jay and Dawn Giesler of Huntingburg. She is sponsored by her parents, Grandma and Grandpa Eckert and Grandpa and belated Grandma Giesler. She will be a freshman at Southridge High School.

Melanie Roberts is the 16 years old daughter of Lisa Shipman and Chad Roberts. She is sponsored by the Happy-Go-Lucky 4-H Club. Melanie will be a junior this fall at Northeast Dubois High School. After high school, Melanie plans on attending college to become a high school teacher or earn a degree in graphic design/marketing.

Lauren Tretter is the 16 year old daughter of Scott and Theresa Tretter of Ferdinand. She is sponsored by Psi Iota Xi Sorority of Ferdinand. Lauren will be a junior at Forest Park High School this fall. After high school, Lauren hopes to attend college to work towards becoming a pediatric physician.
