UPDATE: Arrest Made In Connection With Last Week’s Bomb Scare In Jasper (with VIDEO)

rynardJASPER (NNDC) – Jasper police have arrested a local man in connection with last week’s bomb scare at a northside apartment complex.

JPD says 25-year old Jeffrey Rynard now faces a Level 6 felony charge of Posession of a Hoax Device.

JPD says Rynard has admitted to have had the shell of a metal pipe bomb in the apartment. The ISP bomb squad later determined there were no explosives in the shell. Rynard told police the metal pipe bomb shell was constructed to scare and intimidate another person Rynard says he’s had prior issues with.
