CARMEL (NNDC) – Jasper’s successful 2015 tennis season came to end this afternoon, as the 6th-ranked Lady Wildcats lost 5-0 to #1 Carmel in the quarterfinals of the IHSAA State Tournament.

The match was played on the Lady Greyhounds home courts. This was Jasper’s first appearance in the state finals since 2008 and the sixth appearance under current head coach Scott Yarbrough.

The loss was the final match for graduating seniors Elisabeth Ahlbrand, Anna Flick and Claire Egler.

The Lady Wildcats’ season comes to a close at 19-5. Jasper’s schedule featured seven of the top 11 ranked teams in the state, a fact Yarbrough was very proud of prior to making the trip to Carmel.
