Renee Bondi To Perform In Ferdinand

Renee Bondi 2FERDINAND (NNDC) – Recording artist Renee  Bondi will perform in concert Wednesday, June 3, at Monastery Immaculate Conception Church in Ferdinand. The concert begins at 7 p.m. There will be no admission charge, but a free-will offering to benefit Family Scholar House, a ministry served by the Sisters of St. Benedict, will be appreciated.

Twenty-six years ago Renee Bondi broke her neck in a fall in her home, two months before her wedding date. She was left a quadriplegic and is confined to a wheelchair. She and her husband Mike were married following the accident. They have been married for 25 years and have a 20-year-old son, Daniel.

Bondi was told she would never sing again because of her paralysis, but her voice returned and she went on to career that has inspired thousands. She has appeared on numerous radio and television shows. She is also a public speaker and successful author.

She was chosen to perform for a million people at World Youth Day in Toronto with St. John Paul II and has twice been the keynote speaker for 28,000 teenagers at the National Youth Conference and has spoken and performed a numerous religious education conferences.
