Two Local Seniors Earn Sheriff’s Department Scholarships

JASPER (Local Sources) – The Indiana Sheriffs Association Scholarship Fund has presented scholarships to two residents of Dubois County.

38 other individuals across the state of Indiana were also selected.

Sheriff Donny Lampert presented the scholarships in an amount of $500.00 to each student during a ceremony at the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department in Jasper.

Trent Smith, of Vine Street, Jasper, IN was the first recipient.

He is the son of Bruce and Kim Smith. Trent is a senior at Jasper High School and is planning to attend Vincennes University Jasper Center and major in criminal justice.

Teresa Bowling of Main St, Huntingburg, IN was the second recipient.

She is the daughter of Richard and Christine Bowling. Teresa is a senior at Southridge High School and is planning to attend the University of Southern Indiana and major in criminal justice.
