Bernadette H. “Bunny” Fritch, 89, Jasper

BunnyBernadette H. “Bunny” Fritch, 89, of Jasper, died Saturday (May 9) at her home. She was born in Jasper February 8, 1926, to William M. and Verena (Schaaf) Fritch.

Bunny was the bookkeeper and office manager for the Jasper Turning Company for many years before retiring from the company. She was the last surviving member of the Fritch woodworking family. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, the St. Ann’s

Society and a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed visiting Disney World, music, singing, and her dogs.

She is survived by her lifetime friend, Barbara Scherle, Jasper; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sister, Mary Rita Van Huysse and Louise Gutgsell.

Services at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church with burial following Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, the Sisters of St. Benedict, the Sisters of Providence, the Dubois County Humane Society, or to a favorite charity.
