James M. “Jim” Mueller, 75, Owensboro

Jim Mueller editedJames M. “Jim” Mueller, 75, of Owensboro, died Monday (March 30) in Owensboro. He was born in Louisville May 17, 1939, to Julius and Frances Mueller.

Jim was a 1957 graduate of West Baden High School. He earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Indiana State University. Jim loved basketball and fishing. He coached basketball for almost 50 years at Northeast Dubois and Pike Central high schools in Indiana, and Owensboro Catholic and Daviess County high schools in Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jill Mueller; one son, Matt Mueller; one daughter, Jamie Mueller; his mother, Frances Mueller; and two sisters, Mary Melton and husband (Steve) and Julieanne Edwards and husband Harvey.

Services at noon Monday at St. Stephens Cathedral. Visitation from noon-6 p.m. Saturday and 9:30-11:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Parkinson Disease Association or to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
