Woman Seriously Hurt In Motorcycle Accident; Two Local Men Arrested On Drug Charges (BLOTTER)

HUNTINGBURG (NNDC) – Huntingburg police are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon.

HPD says it happened in the parking lot of the Mor-For-Less food store at the corner of 1st and Main Streets at about 4:30pm.
When police arrived, they say they found an unresponsive female on the ground.

A male occupant on the motorcycle said he was OK and refused EMS treatment at the scene.  Huntingburg police are not releasing the names of those on the motorcycle.  It’s also no known at this time who was actually driving the motorcycle.   HPD says the driver of the motorcycle will face charges including OWI causing serious bodily injury.

HPD says the injured female was life-flighted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. The extent of her injuries has not been released, but police are asking the public for help in their investigation of the crash.

HUNTINGBURG (NNDC) – Two Dubois County men were taken into custody Saturday night on drug charges.

Arrested were 22-year old Keith Dimarco of Huntingburg and 23-year old Alex Knies of Ferdinand.

The two were arrested after Huntingburg police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking of Citizens Insurance at Van Buren and 6th Street at around 7:40 Saturday evening.

HPD says officer smelled burnt marijuana coming from the car as they arrived.

The two were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of synthetic drugs after a search of the vehicle.
