Gloria J. Lehr, 66, Jasper

GloriaGloria J. Lehr, 66, of Jasper, died Monday (March 30) at Brookside Village in Jasper. She was born in Washington August 1, 1948, to Ray and Thresia (Marks) Lehr.

Gloria was a 1966 graduate of Jasper High School. She worked as a master scheduler at Masterbrand Cabinets for 40 years, from 1969 to 2009. She was a member of the Women of the Jasper Moose. She loved sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana Hoosiers fan. She enjoyed playing pickleball, bingo, golfing, bowling, traveling, going to casinos, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by one sister, Donna Smith and husband, Ken, Jasper; one brother, Jim Eckerle and wife June, Loogootee; and nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-niece and nephew.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Eckerle.

Services at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The Women of the Jasper Moose will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, or to a favorite charity.
