Wilma L. Tevault, 85, Jasper

Wilma L. Tevault, 85, Wilma Teavaultof Jasper, died Tuesday (March 24) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Augusta April 9, 1929, to Lewis and Maude (Hardin) McClure. She married Ivan Tevault April 22, 1950, in Pike County. He died August 24, 2012.

Wilma and Ivan lived in Orleans from 1965 to 1985. Wilma worked for the Orleans Community Schools and the Orange County Hospital in Paoli. She retired from the hospital. In 1985 Wilma and Ivan moved to Huntingburg and in 1999 to Jasper. Wilma was a member of Huntingburg United Methodist Church and enjoyed flower gardening and quilting.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Tevault and wife Beverly, Bloomington; one daughter, Susan E. Dowdell, Jasper; two grandchildren, Amy Tevault and husband Daniel Polonsky, Harbert, Michigan, and Kyle Tevault and wife Renee, Royal Oak, Michigan; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Allison Tevault.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lana Faye Tevault, who died in infancy, five brothers, Kenny, Glenn, Howard, Oral “Bud,” and Clyde “Dick” McClure, and four sisters, Lorraine McAllister, Eloise Wallace, Irene McClure, and Norma Hagemeyer.

Services at 2 p.m. (EDT) Friday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in Augusta Cemetery, R.R. 2, Winslow. Pastor Lee Campbell will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the Huntingburg United Methodist Church.
