Edwin C. “Eddie” Reller, 74, Holland

rellerEdwin C. “Eddie” Reller, 74, of Holland, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital and Health

Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Stendal April 18, 1940, to Edwin and Irene (Tevault) Reller. He married Mary Jane Fenneman April 2, 1960, at Holland United Methodist Church.

Eddie was employed by Fawnlake Furniture Company, Tretter Motor Company, John Frields Ford in Huntingburg, Scraper Ford in Otwell, and Mangles Garage in Holland. He was owner/operator of the Mobil gas station in Holland. He worked for Peabody Coal Company in Lynnville, where he retired in 1999 after 29 years of service. He was a member of Holland United Methodist Church, an avid sports fan, following the Los Angeles Dodgers, NASCAR, and Indiana University. He enjoyed camping and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Reller; one daughter, Robin Ruhe and husband Dave, Jasper; three sons, Ronald Reller and wiife Dee, Tucson, Arizona, Roger Reller, Jasper, and Ryan Reller and wife Julia, Tewksbury, Massachusetts; one sister, Linda Denton and husband Jim, Terre Haute; one brother, Gerald Reller and partner Shirley Daub, Lynnville; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services at 10 a.m. (EDT) Saturday at Holland United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Joe Kamman will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
