David E. Lagenour, 58, Jasper

David LagenourDavid E. Lagenour, 58, of Jasper, died Tuesday (March 24)at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. He was born in French Lick June 4, 1956, to Elvan and Ruby (Self) Lagenour. He married Deborah Ziegler August 30, 1975, at Truelove United Methodist Church.

David was a 1974 graduate of Jasper High School and a 1985 graduate of Vincennes University Jasper Campus. He worked in property management at St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg for 28 years. He attended Truelove United Methodist Church. His hobbies included playing cards, especially cinch, and coin collecting. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and cheered for the Oakland A’s, Oakland Raiders and Jasper Wildcats.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lagenour; two daughters, Jennifer Hayes and husband Jeff, and Holly Zehr and husband Derek, all of Jasper; one son, Hans Lagenour, Jasper; four grandchildren, Lauren and Marian Hayes and Grant and Scarlett Zehr; three sisters, Amanda Huff, Tennessee, Nora (Judi) McCarty and husband Jessie, Jasper, and Joyce Zehr and husband Richard, Birdseye; and one brother, Donald Lagenour and wife Trish, Jasper.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys, and one brother, Lonnie, who died in infancy.

Services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel with burial following in the Truelove Community Cemetery in Loogootee. Rev. Michelle Qualkenbush will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner
