Brenda Wolf, 61, Dubois

Brenda WolfBrenda Wolf, 61, of Dubois, died Friday (March 20) in Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Jasper January 23, 1954, to Austin and Barbara (Haas) Matthews. She married Elmer (Bill) Wolf May 5, 1973, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

Brenda was a 1972 graduate of Jasper High School. She worked for Versteel in Jasper for five years and at Brown and Hubert as a warehouse manager. She is a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois. She loved reading, sewing, gardening, and time spent with her grandchildren and her three dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer (Bill) Wolf; four sons, Christopher Wolf and wife Paula, Loogootee, Rodney Wolf, Dubois, Philip Wolf and wife Karrie, St. Anthony, and Dustin Wolf and wife Jennifer, Celestine; eight grandchildren; Mikayla, Kaden, Kylen, Spenser, Reece, Parker, Landry, and Rilynn; two sisters, Diane McAllister, Louisville, Kentucky, and Patty Cacioppo and husband Richard, Omaha, Nebraska; and six brothers, Robert Matthews and wife Barbara, Ferdinand, Austin Matthews Jr. and wife Alfrieda, Tell City, Richard Matthews, Orlando, Florida, Kenneth Matthews and wife Mary, Greenwood, Paul Matthews, Tampa, Florida, and Mark Matthews, Jasper.
Preceding her in death are one sister Mary Holst and one brother John Matthews.

Services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to St. Raphael’s Church.
