Theron Seemann, 80, Jasper

Theron SeemanTheron Seemann, 80, of Jasper, died Friday (March 20) at the St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born in Terre Haute July 20, 1934, to Kenneth and Mildred (Hancock) Seemann. He married Helen French in 1960 at Terre Haute.

Theron was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in animal husbandry. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and retired from Dubois County Soil & Water Conservation Department in Jasper where he worked for 46 years. Also worked part- time at Sultan Run Golf Course for ten years. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1175, American Legion Post No. 147, and the Masonic Line Lodge F & AM .

He is survived by his wife, Helen Seeman; two daughters, Lea Watts and husband Jerry, Clermont, Florida, and Jill Motluck and husband Mark, Indianapolis; One son,
Jay Seemann and wife Heather, Raleigh, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Bailey and Bruce Seemann; and one sister, Modena Fry, Terre Haute.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, April 4, at Trinity United Church of Christ. Visitation from 1-3 p.m. at the church. Committal service will be held at a later date. Rev. Jane Hillman will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Youth Ministry or to St. Charles Health Living the Dream foundation.
