Ireland Woman Killed In Kentucky Accident

Fatal-AccidentMADIONSVILLE, KY (NNDC) – Kentucky State Police say a Dubois County woman was killed in a Sunday morning accident on the Pennyrile Parkway south of Madisonville.

KSP says six people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident which was at about 12:15 Dubois County time. Killed was the driver, 22-year old Alyssa Wagner of Ireland.

Two other people had to be air lifted to Evansville hospitals. Three others were taken to the hospital in Madisonville.

Troopers say, for unknown reasons, Wagner’s SUV went off the shoulder of the highway and hit an overpass support column just south of the Western Kentucky Parkway interchange. KSP say the vehicle then re-entered the northbound lane and then overturned onto its passenger side before stopping on the roadway.

Five passengers were in the vehicle. Three of them, 22-year old Lauren Cessen of Ogden, IL, 23-year old Kristen Hostetter of Bloomfield, IN and 23-year old Jennah Banks of Rockport, IN were taken to Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville for treatment.

Two other passengers were lifeflighted from the scene. 24-year old Jarod Daming of Newburgh, IN was flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville and 23-year old Malcolm Webb of Rockport was taken to Deaconess Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
