Rotary Club Hosting IU Economic Clinic

Forum SpeakersThe Rotary Club of Jasper will host its annual Indiana University Economic Clinic Thursday, February 19, at KlubHaus 61 in Jasper.

The first session of the forum – scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – features a panel consisting of Jerry Conover, director of the Indiana Business Research Center, Kelley School of Business, Ed Cole, president of Dubois Strong, Charles A. Trzcinka, director of the Indiana Business Research Center, Kelley School of Business, and Willard E. White, co-director of the Center for Economic Model Research and Associate Professor Emeritus.

A special bonus presentation from the Indiana University Center for International Business Education and Research is scheduled from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Four bonus presentation panelists will speak directly to entrepreneurs and small businesses that need help with getting started, as well as to businesses that have international exposure and want to expand additional markets. They will provide information on resources for the business community that are either free or inexpensive.

The bonus presentation panelists will be Dusan Marinkovic, senior international trade specialist, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Department of Commerce, Janet Boston, executive director Indiana INTERNnet, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Keith Dayton, senior faculty lecturer, MBA and MSA core coordinator, Kelley School of Business, and Tim Lemper, clinical professor, Business of Law, Kelley School of Business.

Lunch will be provided along with up-to-date opinions regarding the world, national, state, and local economic outlook for 2015 and beyond. Cost is $25, which includes lunch.
