Local Man Arrested On Various Charges; Police Say He Tried To Flee On Foot

JASPER (NNDC) – Jasper police say they arrested 31-year old Curtis Rodgers Saturday afternoon on drug-related and other charges.

JPD says Rodgers (pictured) was pulled over for a traffic stop on the scooter he was riding at 9th and Jackson streets at about 5:15pm Saturday.

Police say during the traffic stop they learned that Rodgers had failed to return to the Dubois County Community Corrections Center and there was a “detainment report” issued for him.

It was then Rodgers tried to flee on foot, but was soon apprehended near the northwest corner of the Dubois County Courthouse.

JPD also found a baggie of marijuana in Rodgers’ possession.

He’s charged with resisting law enforcement as well as a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana; these charges are in addition to his being wanted by the DCCCC.
